India faces one of the worst security breaches in its history with the theft of data from 3.2 millions of debit cards from its main banks. Networks VISA and MasterCard of the country have also been affected by this cyberattack.
The rotary TheEconomic Timesannounced that a malware has been the main cause of this theft of information, which was 6 days operating before being detected by security experts. Some victims have reported using their cards fraudulently in China.
Financial security specialists are investigating the matter together with the affected banks.
