Customers of the bank Tesco Bank, banking division of the British supermarket giant, they will not be very happy, since a cyberattack has managed to empty the accounts of 20.000 clients.
The entity has not given details on how the attack has occurred, but confirm that it has affected 40.000 of the 136.000 accounts, of which about half were looted.
The bank is already working together with police and cybersecurity experts to correct the security breach and try to catch the perpetrators of the theft..
Meanwhile, Tesco has been able to confirm the refund of 2.5 million pounds to its customers.
