The popular media player Adobe Flash Player has received a critical update that fixes a serious security flaw, which would have been allowing third parties to take control of the affected devices remotely.
The versions affected by this vulnerability are:
- Adobe Flash Player Desktop Runtime 23.0.0.185 (and earlier) for Windows and Mac.
- Adobe Flash Player for Google Chrome 23.0.0.185 (and earlier) for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS.
- Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge 23.0.0.185 (and earlier) for Windows 8.1 and 10.
- Adobe Flash Player for Linux 11.2.202.637 (and earlier).
Adobe has released the following versions as an update (you can download them from their official website):
- Adobe Flash Player Desktop Runtime 23.0.0.205. the same version has been released for internet explorer browsers, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
- Adobe Flash Player for Linux 11.2.202.643.
