FBI

Over the past year, it was discovered that the FBI temporarily took control of the child pornography site PlayPen to track users who connected to the page.. Now, thanks to documents submitted by the American Civil Liberties Union, it is known that he did it in 23 web pages more.

In this way, the FBI controlled almost all websites related to child pornography, since Since August 2016 it is estimated that there is a total of 29 active pages with this type of content.

These types of websites are on the hidden side of the Internet (deepWeb), not accessible in any way and normally the people who connect to these pages do so anonymously, hiding their identity and trying to leave no trace using the so-called TOR network.

Then, how do they manage to identify these users?? The FBI uses a number of TOR vulnerabilities that allow them to know much of the data of the person who connects to the page, forcing the browser to return the real IP address, the operating system…, Avoiding, in this way, anonymity.

Thanks to the PlayPen operation it was possible to stop about 200 people.
