Cybersecurity expert researchers have discovered a new vulnerability in social media that would allow cybercriminals to propagate the dreaded virus that encrypts all files.

A simple link shared through a friend can be the trigger for everything, and the fact is that cybercriminals are focusing their attention on these networks (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin…) to achieve their objectives, given the high number of active users there.

The action is simple: A contact shares a link with you, you click to see what is behind it, and the encryption process of all your files begins.

The researchers who discovered the security flaw claim to have contacted Facebook and Linkedin en Septiembre. However, las vulnerabilidades siguen aún sin estar arregladas y los hackers están sacando provecho de ello.
