Ransomware

A new ransomware is infecting computers around the world, but this time we have an alternative to get them back access to the files without having to pay: infect other computers.

Ransomware, baptized as Popcorn Time (same name as the famous P2P movie service), works in the same way as all viruses of this type. Infect your computer, encrypt all your data and ask for a ransom for it (envelope 750 Dollars). The difference this time is that if you infect 2 victims and they pay the ransom, you will unlock the files for free.

The contagion to other people is done through a web address provided by them as a referral chain. If you share that link and other people open it, will become infected. If two of the victims pay the requested amount, your files will be safe.
