Android Malware

Fireball is its name and it has become the trendy malware. With more than 250 millions of victims worldwide, this malware leaves your browser at the attacker's mercy.

The malware is capable of remotely installing malicious applications on the infected device, as well as modifying browser settings and redirecting web traffic to generate revenue through advertising.

Which criminal group is behind it? The surprising thing is that it is not any group of hackers or cybercriminals, but, according to analysts from the cybersecurity company CheckPoint, it would be a digital marketing company based in Beijing, Rafotech.

Rafotech, which has denied the facts, distances itself from any such accusation, even though the malware is installed automatically when installing some of its free products.
