It is now undeniable that the trend of cyber piracy
has gone from being destructive, without obtaining anything tangible in return, to continuing
through attacks using programs that hijack company data, called
ransomware, to infecting computer systems
with scripts (command sequences ) that secretly force them to
mine cryptocurrencies for the attackers.
As a result, thousands of government websites around the
world have been infected with these scripts. Cryptocurrency mining script injection
is found in more than 4.000 Websites, including
those belonging to the UK's National Health Service, the Student Loan
Company and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the legislation of
Queensland, así como el sistema judicial del gobierno de los EE. UU.
