This week VFEmail.net suffered a terrifying attack, its services reported that all their data had been deleted, including their server backups and data… Everything deleted, así, just like that.

Cuando los atancantes fueron atrapados, they were already deleting the remnants of the backup servers and the company tried to recover what little was left. Within minutes it reported that every single one of its server drives had been erased, including also the mail hosts, both physical and virtual, and the SQL clusters.

Although not all of their virtual machines shared the login credentials, all were completely destroyed.

Although it is not clear who the attacker was, or how the attack was carried out, a statement published on their website, pointed to an IP and the username “aktv”, which apparently is registered in Bulgaria

The website has been restored, but if you are a user of this service, don't expect to see your data where you had it, porque ya no existen.
