Data

Privacy is the great chimera of the digital age in which we live. Our data is valuable and there are people who are willing to do anything to get it.. But, us as users, Are we taking all the care with them??

Below, We expose some of the things that, as users, we do wrong with our data on the Internet:

  • Accept privacy agreements without reading them: When we install or use an application, we are usually subject to privacy agreements. Yes, that huge text that we never read and that tell us what they are going to do with the information we provide them. It can be a bit hassle, but it is always advisable to read it to know exactly what they will do with our data.
  • Registrations and logins through social networks: When we want to register in some web pages or applications, offer us the possibility to do it through Facebook or Twitter. That way, we save the work and time of entering the data in the registration form and simplifying everything. Keep in mind that, when we register using this method, the website where we register could access all kinds of information from our social network, from our friends, photos or, even, our publications.
  • Thinking that on the Internet we are invulnerable: Despite the passing of the years, there is still a false belief that on the Internet we are invulnerable, that nothing can happen to us through a computer screen. We were wrong. The digital age has allowed us to transfer part of our life to the network. We no longer use family albums, if not that we share our photos on Instagram or Facebook. Even, the act of looking for a job has left aside the CV on the traditional paper to do it in PDF format or through Linkedin. Our data is part of our life. It is not worth relaxing, extreme precautions must be taken so that they do not fall into the wrong hands.
