The leader of the political party Ciudadanos, Albert Rivera, has made public that his WhatsApp account has been hacked.
Rivera has fallen into the latest WhatsApp trap, which we talked about recently on this blog(We will pass it on ). The Cybercrime Unit of the Civil Guard will be in charge of investigating the attack on the politician.
The attackers changed the account password so that the account owner could not regain control and activated a lock code via email to prevent the Ciudadanos leader from completely canceling the account.
On Saturday night, different tweets were posted from an account called “Anonymous Catalonia” with messages addressed to Albert, how: “Albertito, what the hell is a group called “La Manada” doing in your WhatsApp?”, accompanied by a screenshot of the supposed WhatsApp of Albert Rivera.
The Twitter account that was spreading these messages was suspended by the platform's moderators and the whole matter is under police investigation.
