Los investigadores alegan que la conexión entre el monopatín y el móvil del usuario no es segura, and that with tools like Ubertooth and Wireshark it is possible to spy and obtain a large amount of information. With the data that can be obtained, it is possible to group information such as preferred route, personal interests and the location of the user's work and/or home.
The main scooters that are susceptible to being hacked are those that belong to the shared scooter network of the multiple companies that currently exist in the world. Private scooters for the moment are safe from these vulnerabilities.
All the details that have been discovered will be announced by UTSA at AutoSec 2020 the month of March.
