The companies of Apple and Google have explained how an application designed to detect contact with people with coronavirus will work to prevent another possible spread once the confinement ends.

It was explained that this would be an application that protects the user's data, keeping it anonymous. In several countries, tests are already being carried out with the application to alert cases of contagion.

How it works is simple, is based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology (BLE) What, As the name suggests, it's like the Bluetooth protocol with a much lower battery consumption. It would be used to share a 'key’ when two people are in close proximity for a period of time, It could be said that this meeting is 'registered'.

In the event that a person is diagnosed with COVID-19, You should report this in the app and in an automated manner, The application would alert the people with whom the infected person has been lately, that they have been in contact with a person with coronavirus.

This process is done by comparing the 'keys'’ that the app has been setting up during an individual's encounters and compares them to those in the database to alert the other person prying into the encounter. It is carried out anonymously, thus protecting the infected person.

This app could stop future coronavirus outbreaks and if developed correctly, It could be expanded to prevent any other type of contagious disease.
