Carnival Corp, the British cruise operator, has
confirmed that two of its brands, AIDA and Costa Crociere, have seen their computer systems
affected by a cyberattack.
The operator indicates that there is no evidence
that the cybercriminals have used the information obtained
from the company maliciously, although the investigation is still
ongoing and the full extent of this attack is not yet known. In the
annual report of 2020 the company indicates that they 25 of December last year
detected a ransomware-type cyberattack and unauthorized access in their
computer systems, which affected both companies.
