As we all know, there are many types of attacks that we must pay attention to. Unfortunately, not all will occur through a network intrusion. Another type of attack to be aware of, especially in companies, are attacks through USB drives. This type of threat can severely affect companies.

A study by the company Honeywell confirms that 37% of the threats have been designed to take advantage of removable media, which have seen an increase in use since 19% the beginning of the pandemic. A growth in line with the increase in 30% the manufacturing of these devices.

Many industries have their systems isolated from the Internet network, so they can only be attacked from the inside. Intruders are using removable media to spread attacks and penetrate internal networks. Criminals are increasingly loading more advanced malware onto removable media to directly damage systems.

Again, insist on the fact of keeping equipment up to date and paying close attention to those files shared and downloaded from the internet. Now it is also time to pay attention to our information storage devices, to keep them secure at all times.
