While workers adopt telework policies that allow better work-life balance, company IT technicians are showing concern. A mistake by a worker and all company information could be in the hands of cybercriminals within hours.
Studies conducted throughout this year show the concerning increase in cyberattack cases compared to the previous year. Ransomware has experienced the highest growth, with an increase of 93% so far this year.
The 82% of the security managers interviewed stated that they are concerned about this situation, with more and more workers wanting to adopt teleworking. To protect yourself, el uso de redes privadas virtuales (VPN) es la opción preferida por el 60% de compañías, seguido del uso de entornos de escritorio virtuales, con un 56%. Adicionalmente a estos sistemas, también se han adoptado sistemas de autenticación de doble factor.
Todo este cambio en el sector IT debe ocurrir mientras vemos como los ciberdelincuentes atacan a grandes compañías como Colonial Pipline o Kaseya, que ya han sufrido sendos ataques tipo ransomware a lo largo de este año.
