The popular furniture store has been suffering for a few weeks from an attack on the internal email system, which seeks to infect employees' computers with ransomware.

Ikea has informed its employees that the cyberattack is ongoing and spreading through workers' corporate accounts, so they ask not to open emails regardless of who sent them.

So far no further details are known, but it seems that the attackers' ultimate goal is to spread ransomware on employees' computers. Fortunately, it seems that the attack is not directed at the servers directly, with the intention of stealing personal information from the company, its employees and users.

For the moment, Ikea has not stopped its activity, but it is quarantining all email inboxes, hoping to limit the spread of the malware.
