The telephone company has reported over this past weekend that they have detected irregular access to their systems from suspicious locations, with access to basic identification data. Customers have been informed of the events, already resolved.

Fortunately, according to Movistar, this breach seems to have only affected 1% the subscribers, who have had their basic and identification data stolen, contact information and information about the services contracted. The company states that bank data or credentials have not been affected.

This information could be used soon in attacks that may include phishing campaigns, simulating offers to improve telephony services.

Los clientes deberán extremar las precauciones si reciben correos electrónicos y mensajes bajo estos motivos.
