Apparently, the origin of the attack was an SMS phishing attack, where a customer suffered a deception. The studio has confirmed that neither the source code of the video games nor player information has been compromised during the attack, as well as employee data.

Nevertheless, the VX Underground research group claims otherwise. They have shared several screenshots with their findings. The attackers appear to have gained access to the Slack account of one of the workers and tried to trick more victims.

The specialized magazine Insider Gaming has been able to analyze all the information and has found full names, Emails, Wages, Workplaces and other employee details, as well as upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare II video game content packs.
