After the past few weeks, where there have been demonstrations in favor of Silvio Berlusconi's support for the Russian President, the current Prime Minister has positioned herself in favor of Ukraine in the conflict. This fact has enraged numerous cyberattackers, who have carried out a distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS) against several institutional websites.

This attack was claimed by the group NoName057. This collective has communicated on their Telegram channel that the motive for this attack is the constant support of the Italian government for Ukraine. The local newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore lists the affected websites: that of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that of the Carabinieri, the BPER bank, and the telecommunications operator TIM.
