The Play ransomware group has admitted to attacking the Castilla La Mancha financial institution and claims to have obtained confidential and personal data, customer and employee documents and numerous contracts.

The entity released a statement confirming what happened. They claim that neither transactions nor customer accounts have been affected. Users will be able to continue using electronic banking and ATMs.

From the first moment, Globalcaja has flatly refused to make the payment of the ransoms and continues to work to normalize the situation and analyze what happened.
