Yahoo!

If after the latest hacks suffered by Yahoo! You still trusted them, You're out of luck. They have suffered another cyberattack that compromises the security of accounts.

Yahoo! has once again sent a notification to its users alerting them that their accounts may have been compromised in the event of a new attack, due to a security breach in your email service.

The security breach consists of the hacking of the Cookies, files that are used as a digital key that allow access to users without having to re-enter the username or password.

For example, when you enter your data on a web page and click on the option “Remind me” or “Keep Connected”, so you don't have to re-enter your data every time you log in, The website generates a cookiethat the browser saves. When you go back in, The website searches for thecookiesaved in the browser and if you find it, allows you direct access.

Cybercriminals have exploited a vulnerability in this communication between the website and the browser to impersonate users without having, not even, you enter usernames and passwords.

  1. What's good now with yahoo, is that security has increased, We could see this since the HTTPS protocol was put in place and by all the measures that have been renewed within the Correos service.
