Android

Cloak and Dagger, this is the name of the new vulnerability found by some researchers for the Android operating system, which includes all versions up to the 7.1.2.

This new attack allows a cybercriminal to take full control of the device, as well as capture any data that enters or leaves the phone, keystrokes, PIN codes, Passwords, etc.

The attack, in fact, it is not a vulnerability proper, but rather it exploits the permissions of legitimate installed applications to achieve its purpose.

Since the attack is not through any malicious code, the malware detection systems used by Google are not effective, por lo que podría haber aplicaciones en Google Play afectadas sin producir ningún tipo de alerta.

The solution? For the moment, ninguna.
