At the beginning of this month, India's oldest bank has been the victim of a cyberattack that has led to the theft of nearly 14 million dollars.
The attack was carried out through the use of malware, which attacked the ATM server to obtain customers' credit card information, as well as to obtain SWIFT codes, necessary to carry out banking transactions. This malware also caused the disconnection of the central systems of the transaction verification system available to banks.
The bank's management has brought to light some details of the incident, as the cyberattacks came from 22 different countries, as well as that Canada is the origin of most of the fraudulent transactions carried out.
The attack has been attributed to the Lazarus group, known for having a relationship with WannaCry, The famous malware that made half the world tremble a year ago.
