Use original and trustworthy websites, Make sure the website has an HTTPS protocol and that the connection is direct (There should be no links to other pages). Be wary of bargains. Do not buy if they do not provide information about data such as: data protection officer, their address and contact information, terms of sale, returns or complaints and legal references.
Use strong passwords, Do not share them, Avoid using public networks for your purchases and log out when you have finished shopping.
Be suspicious of alarming messages that ask you to click on a specific link and do not respond to emails requesting your personal or banking information.
Set a password to access your device and a time lock, If you have the option for facial recognition or fingerprint, enable them.
Do not send cash in your online purchases and report counterfeiting if you suspect the purchased product is fake.
Use a specific card for your online purchases and, if possible, with purchase confirmation via SMS.
Check the privacy policy of the websites where you make purchases.
If fraudulent purchases are made with your card, urgently file a police report and request a refund for the purchases. Also regularly check the movements of your accounts.
Make sure the apps you download are official and check the permissions they request.
Check the identity of the sellers or buyers if you are buying or selling second-hand items, Do not advance money and be suspicious if they offer you more than what you are asking.
