5G networks are the focus of the news regarding cybersecurity, even before their final deployment, since it is expected that, after the global deployment, the attacks against
this type of network are greater. The European Union has issued an alert, as a precaution, so that all member countries and the companies that develop the deployment in Europe are prepared and take the appropriate measures.
The deployment of this new network may lead to the installation of
backdoors in a relatively “easy” and that are more difficult to
detect. The European Union placed special emphasis on backdoors and that these represent a
quite high.
It should be noted that one of the main 5G providers in the world is the Chinese company Huawei, accused on multiple occasions of installing backdoors in
its 5G equipment to collect information and send it to the Chinese government.
