Banking entities are usually the bait to carry out phishing-type attacks. This time Ibercaja and Liberbank are the bait of a campaign to impersonate identity and access users' bank accounts and data.

Victims receive an email impersonating the bank informing them that the bank card would be suspended unless the supposed problem is reviewed by clicking on the provided link.

On the other hand, In emails supposedly from Liberbank the argument is similar but referring to the possible deactivation of the account. In both cases there is the common denominator that personal and banking data are requested from the victims.

Campaigns like this should warn us of the dangers of clicking on links sent by email, especially if the link is not verified.
