It seems paradoxical, but that's how it is… The National Police Corps has warned on their Twitter account that emails are being circulated posing as law enforcement officers. Se trata, obviously a case of phishing, emphasizes the CNP.

In the emails, the victim is accused of “having committed a crime related to viewing pornographic videos and photos of minors on the internet, facts detected by our cyber police and constitute evidence of a crime”.

Evidentemente, cybercriminals are looking to collect money and have not hesitated to impersonate the security forces to do so. Usually, phishing uses these social engineering techniques to scare the victim and thus get them to comply with the criminals' requests.

Authorities recommend ignoring these messages and always reporting them to the real forces for investigation.
