The content of the leak includes full names, Addresses, Phones, emails, DNI numbers and even IBAN codes. The provider has access to that information to “speed up customer management”, they claim.

To date, the origin of the problem that caused the incident has not been disclosed. Orange has indicated that since it became aware of the event it has implemented a plan to limit the scope and that may include the affected provider not being able to access its systems.

The company also explained that the corresponding protocol was activated to urgently inform the affected customers. The INCIBE recommends that if communications are received from Orange, special caution should be maintained.
