The popular antivirus developer, with the same name, has sounded the alarm about a new Trojan called “Coyote” created to steal financial information and is primarily targeting users of some 60 banks in Brazil. This Trojan is supposed to come from there as well.

Early indications suggest that this Trojan makes use of a tool called Squirrel, to install and update Windows desktop apps. In this way, The Trojan is hidden in the initial stages, posing as an update packer. In addition, It has been discovered that it makes use of a new programming language, called Neem.

The Trojan is designed to detect access to financial applications and at that time capture the text strings entered by the user.
